Get reminders for tests, quizzes, and homework. Join remind by following this link https://www.remind.com/join/julie11. Please put your child's name somewhere so I will know who I am texting.  Your child can also do this on his/her phone to get the reminders as well. However, I will not be able to text them unless they use your phone or find a way around not being 13. I will not be able to text anyone under 13.

Julie at the Vatican in Italy.

      Hi, my name is Julie Spiriti.  I am from Buffalo Junction, Virginia.  I have an AAS degree in Education from Danville Community College. I moved to Raleigh and received my BS degree from North Carolina State University. I got married to my wonderful husband in my home town and we moved to Youngsville, NC.  I taught for two years in Warren County at Norlina Middle School then I had my son in which I stayed home for five years.  I taught in Franklin County for six years then I came to Carroll Middle School and have taught here for fourteen years.

     In 2013 my best friend and I went to Europe for two weeks and visited England, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and France.  My favorite place was Switzerland because of all the mountains, the people were nice, the food was great, the accommodations were fantastic, and it felt safe.

 

   







      In my classes, I have very high expectations and expect the students to meet those expectations.  We will learn geography, religions, achievements, politics, economics, and the social structures of ancient civilizations of the world.  In my classes, we will learn how to work in groups.  
     We will also learn about the Positivity Project, goal setting, and strengthening Language Arts skills.
